**Job Description**
The Post-Doctoral Associate will contribute to the surface chemistry of implants and the fabrication of polymer medical devices at the Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED). The role involves enhancing implant biocompatibility and osteointegration through surface modification, developing polymeric lubricious coatings for catheters, and characterizing modified surfaces using microscopy techniques. The candidate will also develop polymeric medical devices from clinical needs to prototypes, utilizing various polymer processing techniques, and performing mechanical and thermal analysis of materials. Further responsibilities include developing osteoconductive implants, quantifying biomolecule adsorption, creating orthotic assistive devices, collaborating with industry partners, assisting with intellectual property filing, and preparing technology documentation for innovation translation.
