Post-Doctoral Associate

**Job Description**
The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to focus on the surface chemistry of implants and the fabrication of polymer medical devices. The role involves enhancing implant material biocompatibility and osteointegration through surface modification techniques like plasma treatment and silanization, and developing polymeric lubricious coatings for catheters. The candidate will characterize surface modifications and map nanomechanical properties using advanced microscopy, and engage in the full lifecycle of medical device development from identifying clinical needs to fabricating prototypes. This position also includes work with polymer processing, mechanical testing, thermal analysis, and developing innovative implants and orthotic devices, as well as collaborating on intellectual property and industry translation.
