**Job Description**
The Smart Materials Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral candidate specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for materials science. This role emphasizes structure-property relationships, materials optimization, materials under extreme conditions, and generative AI. The successful candidate will independently lead a project developing generative AI models for materials discovery, collaborate with experimentalists, publish research, and contribute to lab activities including supervising students.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Substantial experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning methods.
• Expertise in AI/ML (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Python).
• Interest in materials applications.
• Experience in AI-driven materials discovery.
• Experience in machine learning applications for materials.
• Experience in generative AI related to materials.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Relevant field (e.g., Materials Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence)
