**Job Description**
This NIH-funded postdoctoral research position focuses on studying the resolution of salivary gland inflammation and the mechanisms of salivary gland fibrosis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing experiments using cell culture and vertebrate animal testing, performing data analysis, preparing manuscripts, presenting research results, and collaborating with team members at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in more than one of the following areas: confocal microscopy, assay development, protein detection/quantification, and cell signaling studies

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biochemistry
• Biology
• Physiology
• Oral Biology
• related discipline

**Experience**
Other:
• A strong background in molecular biology, bioengineering, animal science and imaging techniques
• Peer-reviewed publications
