Post-doctoral Fellow, Polymer Biodegradation Method Development

**Job Description**
The P&G Digital Accelerator@UC is seeking an environmental scientist to develop novel biodegradation methods for polymers. The successful candidate will design and execute biodegradation experiments to evaluate polymer biodegradability in various environmental compartments.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Solid understanding of chemical Phys/chem properties
• Strong experimental design and problem-solving skills
• Ability to engage in necessary job performance trainings such as safety, data analysis, and quality control
• Strong “wet lab” skills and hands-on laboratory experience on biodegradation studies (preferred)
• Experience with Environmental analytical chemistry such as measurement tools (a plus)
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to critically evaluate complex data sets and apply new approaches to solve complex environmental testing questions
• Team player with a “Roll up your sleeves” attitude
• Ability to partner with a multi-functional team to define and execute against experimental requirements
• Excellent adaptability and flexibility
• Excellent learning capabilities with open mindset
