**Job Description**
This Post Doctoral Scholar position is primarily research-focused within an interdisciplinary team, with opportunities to contribute to scientific publications and grant development. The role involves 80% performing advanced research in protein characterization and bioinformatics, including metagenomic analysis to explore microbial communities and their functional potential, and applying computational tools to analyze large-scale biological datasets. The remaining 20% involves contributing to research reports, peer-reviewed manuscripts, project updates, and grant proposals, as well as collaborating to present findings in internal and external forums.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and mentor students.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biochemistry
• Molecular Biology
• Closely related discipline
Other:
• Proven experience in metagenomic analysis.
• Demonstrated track record of publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
• Research experience in environmental microbiology, particularly in extreme environments (Preferred).
