**Job Description**
The position explores the dynamic values shaping the transition to renewable hydrogen and how new hydrogen systems can incorporate these values. The candidate will use qualitative methodologies, system- and discourse-analytical tools, and institutional analysis to map value trade-offs and conflicts in the hydrogen economy. The role involves advising stakeholders on value-sensitive upscaling and implementation, assessing current policies, and presenting findings in reports and papers.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong collaboration and analytical skills.
• Experience with and enthusiasm for combining moral/political questions and technical knowledge of the hydrogen economy or energy transition.
• Acquaintance with the energy system (advantage).
• Experience in collaborating with researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers who have diverse organizational and disciplinary backgrounds.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a creative and innovative approach.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Functional command of Dutch (advantage).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Energy Policy
• Science and Technology Studies
• Policy Sciences (including Political Philosophy, Moral Philosophy, Discourse Analysis, Policy Analysis)
• Urban Studies
• Organization and Management Studies
• Another relevant interdisciplinary specialization

**Experience**
Other:
• Experience with and enthusiasm for combining moral/political questions and technical knowledge of the hydrogen economy or energy transition more generally.
• Acquaintance with the energy system is considered an advantage.
