**Job Description**
This Postdoc project focuses on pattern set mining in stochastic optimization. The successful candidate will develop new, fast solution methods for stochastic optimization problems to identify numerous near-optimal solutions and organize these alternatives effectively. This involves cross-disciplinary work in algorithmics, stochastic optimization, multi-criteria decision making, and data science, potentially utilizing methods such as Pattern Set Mining, Association Rule Mining, or Outranking. The role includes implementing and testing algorithms, further developing scientific writing skills, and applying models to data from energy investment and transport infrastructure problems. The project is part of the Horizon ERC Grants (ERC-2022-ADG) funded DECIDE initiative, involving an academic team at DTU and international experts.
