**Job Description**
This Postdoc position focuses on pattern set mining in stochastic optimization within the DECIDE project, funded by Horizon ERC Grants. The successful candidate will develop new, fast solution methods for stochastic optimization problems to identify numerous near-optimal solutions and organize these alternatives effectively, potentially using methods like Pattern Set Mining, Association Rule Mining, or Outranking. The role involves cross-disciplinary work in algorithmics, stochastic optimization, multi-criteria decision making, and data science. Responsibilities include implementing and testing algorithms, further developing skills in scientific writing, and applying developed models to data from energy investment and transport infrastructure problems. The project fosters a vibrant, interdisciplinary academic environment with a team of PhD students, Postdocs, and international experts.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Excellent programming skills.
• Good collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English, spoken as well as written.
• At least basic knowledge about stochastic optimization.
