**Job Description**
The position is for a Postdoc to join the Division of Subatomic, High-Energy and Plasma Physics at the Department of Physics. The role involves contributing to research in theoretical laser plasma physics, specifically focusing on the design of optimized generation schemes for tailor-made electron beam and radiation sources in laser-produced plasmas within the Wallenberg-funded “Create and control beams in plasmas” project. The Postdoc will primarily perform their own research, with potential opportunities for teaching at undergraduate and master’s levels, as well as supervising master’s and/or PhD students.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Solid background in computational plasma physics.
• Previous experience in laser plasma physics.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Expected to be somewhat accustomed to teaching.
• Demonstrate good potential within research and education.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics (PhD)
Other:
• Doctoral degree awarded no more than three years prior to the application deadline (exceptions can be made for longer periods resulting from parental leave, sick leave or military service).
