This Postdoc position involves contributing to a prospective breast cancer screening trial aimed at optimizing mammography interpretation with AI assistance within the Dutch Breast Cancer Screening Program. The project will involve two rounds of screening for 84,000 women, integrating AI-based automated interpretation and new knowledge on the human visual system into the screening process. The goal is to improve breast cancer early detection and reduce false alarms, making regional and national screening programs more effective and efficient. The role includes collaboration with experts in human visual perception, AI, breast cancer screening, workflow, and industrial partners.
