**Job Description**
This Postdoc position contributes to a prospective breast cancer screening trial focused on optimizing mammography interpretation with AI assistance. The project will involve a prospective trial within the Dutch Breast Cancer Screening Program, analyzing two rounds of screening for 84,000 women. It aims to integrate recent advancements in AI-based automated interpretation of medical images and new knowledge on the human visual system into the screening mammography reading process. The goal is to enhance screening performance, increase early cancer detection, and reduce false alarms, thereby making national screening programs more effective and efficient. The role involves collaboration with experts in human visual perception, AI, breast cancer screening, and industrial partners.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Creative and enthusiastic researcher
• Experience or interest in radiology and/or medical imaging and affinity with biomedical research
• Experience with SPSS, SAS, or R
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D in epidemiology
• Ph.D in biomedical sciences
• Ph.D in technical medicine
• Ph.D in psychology
• Ph.D in similar fields

Annual Salary: € 43,176 - € 68,028 (based on monthly salary of € 3,598 - € 5,669 for full-time employment) Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, allowance of 47% to 72% for working irregular hours (depending on position), 176 vacation hours per year (based on 36-hour working week).
