**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Postdoc position within the INCREC research project, financed by an ERC Consolidator Grant. The project aims to uncover the creative process from inception to reception of translated content using machine translation, focusing on literary and audiovisual materials. It investigates how recent advancements in large language models and generative AI impact translation creativity and user experience. The postdoc will analyze and classify user engagement with creativity in audiovisual translation (AVT) across different modalities, determine the link between user attention/preference and creativity, and gather data on how errors affect user attention, utilizing a mixed-method approach including eye-tracking, engagement questionnaires, and interviews.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience as audiovisual translator (distinct advantage)
• Knowledge of Dutch and Spanish (advantage; other language combinations considered)
• Experience with AVT tools (advantage)
• An independent, proactive work ethic
• A flexible, mobile and internationally oriented mentality
• Excellent academic writing skills in English

Salary
Annual Salary: € 56,736 (based on € 4,728 gross per month for 1.0 FTE, salary scale 11.0) Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, participation in a pension scheme, favourable tax agreements for non-Dutch applicants may be applicable, 232 holiday hours per calendar by full-time employment.
