This postdoctoral position at QuTech focuses on exploring qubits to power future quantum information processing machines. The researcher will work at the interface of color center physics and integrated photonics, aiming to embed qubits in scalable systems and advance quantum technology for real-world applications. The role involves addressing critical challenges in color center physics and large-scale integration, concentrating on spectroscopy of color centers within silicon and diamond hosts, device design and characterization, and the development of integrated photonic circuits for quantum applications.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong experimental skills, demonstrated through publications in spectroscopy, quantum emitters, or quantum integrated photonics.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proven independence and self-drive.
• Experience in supervising students.
• Collaborative, team player attitude.
• Expertise in color center or atomic physics research (preferred).
• Experience with cryogenic measurements (preferred).
