**Job Description**
Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of cancer cells. The lab has identified previously unknown links between pyruvate metabolism and tRNAs modifications that regulate translation fidelity. The objective of this position is to understand how perturbations of pyruvate metabolism impinge on translation in the context of several human diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative diseases.
