**Job Description**
This temporary, part-time postdoctoral position at Ghent University involves conducting academic research, particularly on simulation methods for composite pressure vessels for hydrogen storage, comprising at least 70% of the assignment. Responsibilities also include assisting in Bachelor’s and Master’s level teaching activities, and counseling Master’s and doctoral students.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Extensive research experience in analytical and/or simulation methods for composite materials.
• Extensive experience with the development and implementation of algorithms for modelling of composites.
• Experience with object-oriented programming.
• Demonstrated distinction as a promising researcher during doctorate.
• Profound interest in coaching Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or Advanced Master’s programmes students.
• Ability to present a high level of relevant scientific publications in (inter)national peer-reviewed academic journals that are widely disseminated (recommendable).
• Organizational talent.
• Experience with writing research proposals (recommendable).
• Skilled and motivated to provide support for various ongoing research projects, with an eye for valorization in industrial applications.
• Enthusiasm for solving research questions related to the simulation of composite materials.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Doctor of Civil Engineering
• Doctor of Electromechanical Engineering
• Doctor of Materials Engineering
• Equivalent degree

• 4-10 years of research experience
• Certificate of equivalence (NARIC) for diplomas awarded outside the European Union.
