**Job Description**
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will dedicate half their time to independent research and the other half to collaborative projects with Professors Mario D. Molina, Minsu Park, and Blaine Robbins. Collaborative research focuses on large-scale analyses of digital trace data and virtual lab experiments to investigate the coevolution of ingroup favoritism and group boundaries in multiplex communities, the influence of attribute- and opinion-based cues on intergroup relations, and the design of interventions for online inclusivity. This role is ideal for computational social scientists or computer/data scientists interested in social sciences.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Working with large-scale digital trace data
• Building and running natural language processing and machine learning workflows
• Experimental design and causal inference (including virtual lab experiments)
• Network or computational modeling
• Strong interest in applying these tools to questions of group formation, intergroup relations, and resource distribution on online platforms

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Sociology
• Social psychology
• Computational social science
• Computer science
• Information science
• Data science
• Closely related field
