**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Associate will work under the direction of Dr. Morgan Firestein at the Child Health Institute of NJ, focusing on understanding the role of extracellular vesicles and steroid hormones during pregnancy in shaping brain development and behavior. The role involves assisting in various aspects of lab research including study design, data collection, study management, data analysis, and interpretation of findings. The Postdoc is also responsible for managing day-to-day lab operations, training new personnel, and handling purchase requests for lab supplies, while maintaining high communication with the Principal Investigator.

• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently under PI guidance.
• Ability to assist in daily lab management, including training and direct oversight of personnel and students.
• Expertise in perinatal, placental, or maternal biology (strongly preferred).
• Subject matter expertise in extracellular vesicles/exosomes (strongly preferred).
• Excellent writing skills with experience in writing grants, fellowships, manuscripts, or scientific reports (strongly preferred).

**Experience**
Other:
• Experience with experimental techniques including one or more of the following: PCR, RT-qPCR, ELISA, RNAseq, isolation of extracellular vesicles/exosomes, cell culture, and iPSC differentiation.
• Experience working with extracellular vesicles/exosomes (strongly preferred).
