Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Division of Social Science at NYU Abu Dhabi. This role, available for up to three years starting September 1, 2026, involves dedicated time for both independent research and collaborative research with Drs. Leonid Peisakhin and Joan Barceló. The collaborative work focuses on political violence, with an emphasis on the legacy of conflict, transitional justice, and post-conflict reconciliation, and is open as to geographical focus. The ideal candidate will specialize in historical political economy with an interest in conflict studies and broader political economy topics, possessing advanced methodological training, particularly in causal inference, experimental methods, and econometric techniques.
