**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Associate position is focused on bioinformatics research in AI and cancer, specifically within the Chiu Lab at the University of Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will develop AI solutions, including machine learning, deep learning, and large language models (LLMs), to analyze high-throughput multi-omics datasets (single-cell, spatial omics) and large textual corpora. The primary objectives are to systematically understand cancer biology, identify diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, and improve cancer therapy through cutting-edge computational approaches.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong experience in integrating deep learning and LLMs for molecular biology.
• Experience with multi-omics datasets (e.g., TCGA, TARGET, CCLE).
• Experience with single-cell and spatial transcriptomics/proteomics.
• Experience with high-throughput drug and genetic screens (e.g., DepMap, PRISM).
• Familiarity with common bioinformatics resources and pipelines (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl, BWA, STAR, GATK, VarScan, DESeq).
• Proficiency in Linux.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, MATLAB, or Perl.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Collaborative mindset.

**Qualifications**

• Bioinformatics
• Computational biology
• Computer science
• Electrical and computer engineering
• Related discipline

**Experience**

• Recently earned a Ph.D.
