**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Fellow position is for an enthusiastic individual to join a cross-disciplinary team dedicated to developing a fast, cheap, and environmentally friendly method to mineralize CO2 into stable, useful products. The projects range from fundamental investigations of mineral-water-gas properties and developing predictive models to designing cost-effective CO2 trapping processes. The goal is to develop local methods for CO2 mineralization to reduce climate change and ocean acidification by converting atmospheric and oceanic CO2 back into solid form for long-term stability and use in new, low-CO2 construction materials, with an aim to form a company.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Expertise in geochemistry or mineralogy or materials science.
• Experience in X-ray diffraction analysis (e.g., Rietveld refinement).
• Experience in geochemical speciation calculations (e.g., PHREEQC or similar code).
• Strong background in fluid-mineral interaction.
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, problem-solving, and teamwork orientation.
• Ability to work independently.
• Motivation to help make and be part of a dynamic research environment.
• Positive, supportive, and creative outlook.
• Good communication and personal interaction skills.
• Fluent English.
• Flexibility.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• PhD degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Geochemistry, Mineralogy, or Materials Science.

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Experience in X-ray diffraction analysis.
• Experience in geochemical speciation calculations.
• Strong background in fluid-mineral interaction.
