**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving a PhD or other doctoral degree, under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee.

**Skills & Abilities**
� Knowledge of scientific computing, data assimilation, and machine learning frameworks
� Expertise in modeling geophysical systems
� Strong proficiency in machine learning libraries such as PyTorch
� Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code
� Knowledge of mathematics including linear algebra and partial differential equations
� Ability to implement software solutions based on technical specifications provided by researchers
� Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
� Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative software development

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Doctorate
� Geology
� Geography
� Civil Engineering
� Computer Science
� Mathematics
� Physics or a related quantitative field
