**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position in Dr. Dasgupta’s lab focuses on elucidating novel targets and therapies for pancreatic cancer-associated muscle wasting and investigating tumor-host crosstalk. The appointee will further develop research skills, lead projects in cancer cachexia and/or tumor biology, publish in peer-reviewed journals, present at conferences, write grants, and mentor junior trainees, in preparation for an academic or research career.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience in basic molecular biology techniques (such as western blot, qPCR etc.)
• Cell culture experience
• Experience in tumor biology and/or muscle biology (preferred)
• Mouse handling experience (preferred; training will be provided if required for in vivo work)
• Knowledge and familiarity with the PI’s work and ability to generate ideas to advance projects
**Experience**
• Ph.D. degree or equivalent (e.g., MD, Sc.D.) awarded within the last four years
