**Job Description**
The project aims to investigate the link between the dynamics of synaptic structural plasticity and the probability of neurons to become active during spatial navigation in mice. The candidate will longitudinally investigate the evolution of patterns of excitatory and inhibitory connectivity (tracking dendritic spines and inhibitory synapses) and patterns of neuronal activity in the dorsal CA1 of live mice performing navigation tasks, using head-fixed two-photon imaging combined with cellular labeling techniques.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Curious, highly motivated, self-driven, and able to work independently
• Collegial attitude
• Solid background in neurobiology
• Previous experience with optical imaging of neuronal activity or mouse stereotactic surgery or in vivo electrophysiology or advanced data analysis
• Fluent in English

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biology, Neurobiology, Biophysics, Physics or Engineering (Master/Diploma)
• Biology, Neurobiology, Biophysics, Physics or Engineering (Ph.D)

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Completed a university degree (e.g., Master, Diploma) in biology, neurobiology, biophysics, physics or engineering.
• Hold or will complete a doctoral degree in biology, neurobiology, biophysics, physics or engineering in the nearest future.
Other:
• Previous experience with optical imaging of neuronal activity or mouse stereotactic surgery or in vivo electrophysiology or advanced data analysis.
