The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is seeking a motivated and talented scientist to join their Spectroscopy of Quantum Materials group. The role involves conducting collaborative research on mesoscopic physics in Kagome Lattice and van der Waals 2D systems, utilizing magnetic imaging techniques such as MFM and X-ray-based imaging like XMCD-PEEM. The position focuses on pushing technical and scientific boundaries in quantum materials research.

• Expertise in X-ray based magnetic imaging or scanning probe microscopy for magnetism
• Good software skills to analyse data
• Interest in a wide range of physics and experimental techniques
• Capable to adapt to new challenges
• Independent researcher but at the same time a good team player
• Proficiency in English both spoken and written
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics (PhD degree)
**Experience**
Other:
• Solid knowledge of condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, and magnetism
• Experience in research on correlated materials and magnetism
