**Job Description**
A postdoctoral position is available at the Department of Agroecology at Aarhus University, Denmark, focusing on the influence of phytochemistry and wheat cultivar mixtures on plant-microbiome interactions. The role involves characterizing root microbiomes to understand the effects of specialized root metabolites and wheat cultivar mixing on microbiomes, and vice versa, their impact on plant performance and suppression of root parasitic nematodes. The successful candidate will utilize metabarcoding for microbiome analysis from field and greenhouse experiments, integrating data on microbiome composition, nematode infestation, plant performance, plant metabolomes, and plant transcriptomes. The position also requires contributing to teaching activities and publishing research in high-impact scientific journals.

Annual Salary: Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Professional Associations.
