**Job Description**
The Center for Translational Medical Devices (CENTMED) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to join an initiative focused on designing and developing novel medical devices for human use. CENTMED oversees projects in cardiovascular, neurologic, and metabolic diseases, with the successful applicant engaging in engineering novel approaches to modulate physiology and neural activity in the brain, GI tract, and other peripheral organs. These projects involve device design, manufacturing, drug conjugation, neuroscience, and preclinical model experiments, offering high potential for translation into treatments for neurologic and metabolic disorders. The role is a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment with opportunities to contribute to cutting-edge initiatives and make a meaningful impact on next-generation surgical technologies, bridging engineering innovation and clinical application.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Excellent experimental skills relevant to the project, including device design and fabrication, drug conjugation, and in vitro and in vivo experimentation.
• Proficiency in English.
