**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research in the field of Plant Medicinal Natural Product Biochemistry within a dynamic and interdisciplinary team. The role involves working on a cutting-edge project focused on the study of bioactive natural products from medicinal plants. Key areas of focus include elucidating biosynthetic pathways, genomics, enzymology, and reconstitution of pathways in Nicotiana benthamiana. The associate will perform basic or applied research using existing theories and methods, assist the supervisor in the interpretation and publication of results and grants, maintain the laboratory, and may provide functional supervision over supporting research staff. The primary responsibility is ensuring the completion of research.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in molecular cloning, protein expression and purification, enzyme assays, genomics, and other modern biochemical techniques
• Expertise in metabolic pathway analysis and biosynthetic gene cluster discovery
• Familiarity with N. benthamiana transformation, genetic manipulation, and agroinfiltration
• Strong record of high-quality publications in related scientific fields
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently and to quickly adjust to changing priorities
