**Job Description**
This Postdoctoral Research Associate position is part of ‘The Digital Labour of Covid-19 Volunteerism’ project, which uses an oral history approach to investigate the politics of digital health work performed by Covid-19 volunteers in contemporary India. The role involves applying Digital Humanities methods to analyze and visualize qualitative narratives concerning pandemic relief work, including the use of social media, online vaccination assistance, and digital surveillance for contact tracing. Key research objectives include evaluating the politics of digital relief during lockdowns, the influence of gender, caste, and class on access to digital health infrastructures, the contemporary legacy of pandemic-driven health work in a digital landscape, and the global implications of India’s digital health claims on grassroots health work.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Training in Digital Humanities methods (e.g., coding, archiving, data visualization, relational databases, data representation, digital storytelling)
• Familiarity with at least one Indian language
• Experience in qualitative research methods (e.g., ethnography, discourse analysis, oral history, network analysis)
• Willingness to be part of a collaborative research team
• Experience working with minoritized groups (Desirable)
• Willingness to work in the fields of health activism, health work, or health policy (Desirable)
• Willingness to learn oral history or ethnographic methods (Desirable)
• Willingness to produce both academic and non-academic research outputs (Desirable)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Humanities
• Social Sciences (preferably History, Politics, Anthropology or Gender Studies)
• Digital Humanities
