**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry to develop accurate models of time-resolved X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (TRXPS) experiments of gas phase molecules. The successful candidate will contribute to understanding satellite states in TRXPS measurements and their application in tracking photochemical change. The project involves developing new computational approaches to unravel the chemistry and physics underlying experimental investigations at Free Electron Laser Facilities, as part of a vibrant, interdisciplinary research program studying photochemical processes. This role requires close collaboration with Prof Sonia Coriani at the Technical University of Denmark.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience of method development in quantum chemistry
• Demonstrable coding experience (e.g., Python, Fortran, C++)
• Experience in modeling spectroscopic observables
• Experience in quantum and semi-classical dynamics
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Theoretical Chemistry
• Computational Chemistry
• Related area
**Experience**
Other:
• PhD or equivalent qualifications/experience in Theoretical or Computational Chemistry or related area
