This Postdoctoral Research Associate position’s primary purpose is to conduct research, provide research training to undergraduate students, present research results at conferences, and write manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Key responsibilities include the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional MXenes using various state-of-the-art instruments, alongside mentoring undergraduate students, maintaining research instruments, and collaborating with scientists at Savannah River National Laboratory for specialized measurements.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience in experimental condensed matter physics, especially in magnetism/spintronics and optical spectroscopy.
• Experience in synthesis of two-dimensional MXenes.
• Proficiency in handling SEM, AFM, XRD, Raman, PPMS/SQUID, and transient absorption instruments.
• Undergraduate student mentoring experience (plus).
