Postdoctoral Research Associate – Cognitive Aging and Minority Health

**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will join a multidisciplinary research team focusing on cognitive aging and health disparities among minority populations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to research at the intersection of neurodegeneration, cognition, vascular risk factors, and diabetes, with a particular focus on underrepresented groups including Native American populations, individuals with Down syndrome, and minoritized aging cohorts. The successful candidate will play a key role in ongoing and developing studies investigating the interplay between longitudinal cognitive outcomes, metabolic, and vascular risk factors, working closely with the PI and a team of specialists from the Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Alzheimer’s Research Center.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in statistical programming (e.g., R, Python) for data analysis and visualization
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
• Oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate research findings to both academic and non-academic audiences
• Proficiency with standard office and data tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, reference managers, etc.)
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Experience working with neuroimaging (desirable)
• Specific experience with Native American communities, individuals with Down syndrome, or populations at risk for diabetes (desirable)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Psychology
• Cognitive Science
• Neuroscience
• Public Health
• Biomedical Engineering
• Related discipline
Other:
• PhD or MD
• Demonstrated experience working with minority aging populations
• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal
