The role focuses on developing research skills, leading impactful studies, generating independent research questions, publishing in scientific journals, and pursuing scholarly development. Opportunities for grant writing and teaching within the School of Public Health are also available.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge in pharmacoepidemiologic research methods
• Experience or interest in mental health-focused research
• Experience with conducting research in administrative claims data
• Programming skills in SAS or R
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Ability to present scientific findings in various formats
• Ability to compose manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment including research analysts, scientists, and other PETS trainees and faculty
• Excellent organizational, planning, project management, and problem-solving skills
