**Job Description**
Applicants are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to contribute to a Yorkshire Cancer Research Pioneer Fund project focused on developing sustainable bio-inspired magnetobots for cancer theranostics. The successful candidate will join the Microbial Biotechnology & Bioprocessing group, which is part of the Energy and Bioproducts Research Institute (EBRI) and the Aston Institute for Membrane Excellence (AIME).

**Skills & Abilities**
• Cultivation of microbes
• Expression of recombinant proteins
• Bioprocess development
• Expertise in magnetic materials and their characterization
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills
• Teamwork skills
• Knowledge of laboratory safety (especially involving nanomaterials)
• Ability to quickly pick up new concepts
• Ability to work with tight deadlines

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Microbiology
• Genetic Engineering
• Bioprocessing
• Relevant Ph.D. (or nearing completion)

Other:
