Postdoctoral Research Fellow

**Job Description**
The Bio2M group, led by Pr Thérèse Commes at the Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Biotherapies (IRMB-U1183) in Montpellier, France, is seeking to recruit a full-time Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the ESCALATE project. This project, funded by the ITMO Mathematics and Informatics for Cancer program, aims to efficiently process and analyze hundreds of thousands of RNA-seq datasets on human cancer. The central innovation involves developing reference-free methods for indexing and querying nucleotide sequence datasets, moving away from traditional methods that typically only consider annotated genes or transcripts. This work is made possible through collaborations with Univ-Lille, which is developing highly optimized data structures, and Paris-Saclay Univ, which possesses solid expertise in exploiting RNA-seq data for cancer research. The position offers a unique opportunity to work within an attractive network of young researchers in a multidisciplinary context.

• Skills acquired through several years of experience
