**Job Description**
This research opportunity focuses on identifying and developing corn germplasm with resistance to *Aspergillus flavus* infection and subsequent aflatoxin accumulation, as well as resistance to insect damage. The participant will engage in both conventional and marker-assisted breeding methods. Key activities include conducting phenotype trials, performing marker-trait association and RNA-Seq analyses, and preparing data for scientific reports and manuscripts, contributing to agricultural problem-solving.

**Skills & Abilities**
• In-depth professional knowledge and expertise in plant breeding, quantitative genetics, plant pathology, agronomy, and statistical analysis.
• Experience in conducting plant breeding and genetics research that results in publications in peer-reviewed journals.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Life Health and Medical Sciences

• Doctoral Degree received within the last 60 months (5 years).
• U.S. Citizenship required.
