Postdoctoral Researcher

**Job Description**
This role involves joining a collaborative program with Merck Electronics KGaA to focus on liquid crystal-based technologies. The successful candidate will conduct research on the optics, design, fabrication, optimisation, modelling, and characterisation of liquid crystal devices, alongside carrying out research projects. Responsibilities include daily interactions with the company, preparing scientific papers, contributing to patent applications, and delivering presentations.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics
• Engineering

**Experience**
Other:
• PhD degree (or thesis submitted before taking up the role)
• Research experience in experimental Physics and/or Engineering
• Significant experience in experimental aspects of liquid crystal optics, liquid crystal physics, electro-optics, active and passive device fabrication and modelling or related areas
