**Job Description**
This postdoctoral research position focuses on advancing robot learning within shared control environments with human operators. The successful candidate will develop and evaluate novel algorithms and interfaces to enable continuous robot learning when working with teleoperated human inputs. The project aims to provide a seamless interface for humans to teach and correct skills to continuously operating robots, specifically examining applications involving a swarm of drones performing complex manoeuvres and robotic arms undertaking delicate physical interaction tasks. The project is partially funded by a Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (KIC) grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) titled “STEADFAST – Swarm Technology Enabling Advanced Drone- Facilitated Active Support Tactics for Military and First Responder Operations.”
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong experience with robot learning and control
• Strong interest in the teleoperation of various types of robots
• Proficiency with at least one programming language (e.g., C++, Python, Matlab)
• Good written and oral communication skills in English
• Thriving in multidisciplinary environments
• Creativity and ambition to conduct cutting-edge research
• Self-motivation
• Curiosity-driven working attitude
• Experience with drones and/or robotic manipulators
• Knowledge of human-robot interfaces, optimal control, and Robot Operating System (ROS)
