**Job Description**
The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Virginia Merrill Bloedel Hearing Research Center at the University of Washington are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher for an NIH-funded project. This longitudinal study investigates brain and behavioral development in early childhood, focusing on auditory processing to identify neural and behavioral predictors of late language emergence in both typically developing infants and those at risk for language delays. The research leverages longitudinal EEG and behavioral assessments to discover early markers that can facilitate timely diagnosis and inform targeted interventions, with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2025, or later.

Salary
Annual Salary: $68,460 per year ($5,705 per month), or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. Union Affiliation: Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and subject to the collective bargaining agreement.
