**Job Description**
The Department of Neuroscience investigates synaptic and glia biology, with Dr. Dulla’s lab focusing on synapse formation and remodeling in the developing nervous system, particularly concerning neurological diseases and epilepsy, utilizing mouse models, electrophysiology, imaging, and behavioral studies. This postdoctoral researcher position specifically involves a project on Tuberculosis (TB) of the brain (CNS-TB), aiming to understand how the bacteria affect brain cells and immune responses. The research employs cutting-edge single-cell RNA sequencing on human and mouse brain tissues to identify disease onset, progression, and outcomes, with the goal of discovering new treatment strategies and building research capacity in Africa. The role requires experience in bioinformatics and single-cell data analysis.
