**Job Description**
The role involves an enthusiastic and driven postdoctoral researcher within an international project aimed at reducing malaria burden in sub-Saharan Africa. The researcher will develop and implement mosquito behavior assays in malaria-endemic settings to investigate how vector control interventions, such as spatial repellents, influence mosquito behavior. This includes studying host-seeking, blood-feeding, and flight patterns using laboratory, semi-field, and field approaches with innovative techniques like 3D flight tracking and the biteOscope platform. The work will contribute to optimizing spatial repellent deployment for malaria transmission reduction, supporting public health efforts in affected regions.

Annual Salary: € 3.598 - € 5.669 (gross monthly for 36 hours/week) Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, allowance of 47% to 72% for irregular hours (position dependent), 176 vacation hours per year (based on 36-hour week).
