The Department of Neuroscience and Dr. Dulla’s lab investigate synaptic and glia biology, focusing on neurological diseases and epilepsy using mouse models, electrophysiology, and imaging. This specific postdoctoral project focuses on understanding how the bacteria causing central nervous system tuberculosis (CNS-TB) affect brain cells and immune responses. The research utilizes cutting-edge single-cell RNA sequencing on human and mouse brain tissues to identify disease progression, aiming to discover new treatment strategies and build research capacity in Africa.
