**Job Description**
The Storkebaum lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to independently work on Drosophila genetics projects, focusing on the molecular mechanisms underlying motor neurodegenerative disease. The primary project involves the characterisation of mutant lines identified in a forward genetic screen for genes required for axonal maintenance. The researcher will also contribute to ongoing projects such as studying the molecular pathogenesis of CMT peripheral neuropathy and ALS, supervise Master’s and potentially PhD students, and is encouraged to develop an independent research project for future transfer.
