**Job Description**
This postdoctoral research position focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* affects brain cells and immune responses, particularly in the context of brain tuberculosis (CNS-TB), which is often fatal. The project utilizes cutting-edge single-cell RNA sequencing to analyze human and mouse brain tissues, aiming to identify disease initiation, progression, and varying outcomes, ultimately leading to the discovery of new treatment strategies. The role also contributes to building research capacity in Africa through training and collaboration.
