**Job Description**
The VOICES project is a multidisciplinary initiative in history, computer science, and engineering focused on studying Holocaust survivor testimonies through computational technology, specifically multimodal modeling, to understand the dynamics of memory, trauma, and history. This position involves testing and reviewing computer-assisted analysis of interviews with Holocaust survivors and conducting extensive research on the Auschwitz camp complex. The research results will be examined against this historical background and made available to the entire project team through ongoing memos and close collaboration. A key responsibility is to assume first authorship for at least two peer-reviewed publications in specialist journals.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Relevant knowledge in Holocaust Studies
• Previous experience in the digital humanities
• Previous experience in knowledge transfer
• Knowledge of quantitative data collection and analysis
• Knowledge of French
• Willingness to learn Python as a programming language
• Knowledge of oral history of the Holocaust

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• History (Ph.D)
