**Job Description**
This postdoctoral project focuses on sustainable aviation by developing innovative, efficient production technologies for thermoplastic composites and novel material architectures. The aim is to experimentally characterize temperature distribution and heat transfer during the heating of microscopic aggregates of thermoplastic cut tapes to accelerate process development for circular materials. The role involves generating multi-scale data, linking experiments with simulations from a companion PhD project, and collaborating closely with industrial partners to provide fundamental insights and practical guidance for advanced composite processing. The project is embedded within the Lightweight Composites and Structures initiative, which aims to make aviation and spaceflight more sustainable.
