**Job Description**
The candidate will develop and lead a research project aimed at studying kleptoplastidy in marine plankton, combining different imaging approaches and laboratory experiments. This project involves collaboration with team members and various national and international institutes. The researcher will be employed by the CNRS and will be part of the Laboratory of Cellular and Plant Physiology. This position is part of the ERC Consolidator Grant project SymbiOCEAN, which aims to study photosymbiosis in marine plankton at the subcellular, molecular, and ecological levels.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Skills and knowledge in cellular physiology, imaging, and bioinformatics.
• Experience in cellular physiology and imaging techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Knowledge and research experience in microalgae/plants and marine protists (considered an asset).
• Fluorescence microscopy experience (considered an asset).
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to interact well within an international research group.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biological discipline (e.g., cell physiology, microbial ecology, genomics, plant biology)
Other:
• PhD or equivalent
