**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Researcher will develop and validate advanced AI models integrating medical imaging, multi-modal clinical and omics data, and explainable AI (XAI) for the prediction of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This research directly contributes to early detection and risk stratification in patients with liver disease and involves close collaboration with AI specialists, radiologists, hepatologists, and healthcare professionals. The researcher will be embedded in the Cognition, Data and Education (CODE) section at the University of Twente, exploring deep learning approaches and XAI techniques to ensure both predictive accuracy and medical interpretability. The clinical validation and impact are driven by Medisch Spectrum Twente, focusing on translating technical advances into practical diagnostic and prognostic tools.

Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence

• Ph.D. in a related quantitative field
