**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position focuses on malaria research and vector biology within an international project aiming to reduce the burden of malaria in sub-Saharan Africa. The researcher will develop and implement mosquito behavior assays in malaria-endemic settings to investigate how vector control interventions, such as spatial repellents, influence mosquito behavior. This involves studying host-seeking, blood-feeding, and flight patterns using a combination of laboratory, semi-field, and field approaches, including innovative techniques like 3D flight tracking and the biteOscope platform. Experiments will be conducted at Radboudumc and in Kenya, collaborating closely with local teams, with insights directly contributing to optimizing spatial repellent deployment and supporting public health efforts.
