**Job Description**
A 2-year engineer or post-doctoral position is available, funded by an ANR/DFG grant, starting in early 2026. The role is based at the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC), Genome Biology department on the Gif-sur-Yvette campus of the CNRS (Paris region, France), within Dr. Julie Soutourina’s group. The successful candidate will engage in an international France-Germany interdisciplinary project focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying Mediatorpathies. These rare neurodevelopmental diseases are linked to mutations in Mediator complex subunits. The project aims to elucidate the molecular consequences of pathological Mediator variants on transcription and transcription-coupled DNA repair (TCR) and their impact on neurodevelopment, utilizing both Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast and human cell models with genomic and bioinformatic approaches.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Solid knowledge in genetics and functional genomics.
• Strong interest in transcription and DNA repair in eukaryotes.
• Previous experience on yeast model and/or human cells.
• Previous experience with genome-wide approaches, in particular ChIP-seq.
• Interest or previous experience in bioinformatic analyses of NGS data (a plus).
